The proposed zoning by-law amendments would rezone the Subject Lands into an appropriate residential mixed use zone category to facilitate the future development of residential lots, residential mixed-use buildings and commercial uses. An environmental policy area zone is established to protect environmental areas. A commercial zone is also established for a proposed commercial centre. A holding zone is applicable which prohibits development until certain conditions are met including approval of the Town’s new Official Plan. In addition, servicing must be available.
